Species: Byasa alcinous (Chinese Peacock Swallowtail)
The Byasa alcinous has narrow wings and long tail projections. Its body is black;
The sides of the thorax and abdomen, as well as the head and neck, are covered with red downy hairs.
The wings are black or brown, with brown longitudinal stripes between the veins.
There are 4 brown longitudinal stripes in the median cell of the forewings;
The hindwings have 5 crescent-shaped red spots on the upperside and 7 on the underside along the inner margin.
